Object Description
This shadow box contains a gold key from Bloomington, Illinois given to Ronald Reagan. The shadow box is wooden with a thick edge and deep frame. The backing of the box is made of green felt. The gold key is stitched onto the backing although pieces of thread have broken allowing the key to move around the box. There is a gold, metal plate screwed to the frame which reads:
"RONALD REAGAN
IN RECOGNITION OF HIS FIGHT AGAINST COMMUNISM
MAYOR BOB McGRAW 1-20-61"
When the frame is turned over there is a wire piece which allows for the owner to hang the box. A sticker on the back reads:
