Object Description

This envelope shows a black and white sketch of a Norman Ramsey depiction of the day Ronald Reagan was born. The sketch shows downtown Tampico, Illinois and two men talking. One is riding in a horse and buggy, while the other stands on the sidewalk. The latter says to the former: "What's New Arnie?" to which the other man says "Not much... Jack and Nellie Reagan just had a baby boy... Nothin' important ever happens here in Tampico!" The sketch also reads:
"With apologies to 
John T. McCutcheon

A President in born... Feb. 6, 1911 [In banner]"

In the top right hand corner is a white stamp of the American flag which reads:
"The Land of the Free. The Home of the Brave.
USA 15 cents"
