Object Description
Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood.
In this black and white photograph shows Ronald Reagan standing at the center, glancing to the right side of the photograph. He has a disconcerted look on his face He is wearing a light colored suit, a sweater vest underneath, a white button up shirt and handkerchief, and a dark tie and pants. To the right of the photograph are three men dressed in suits. All three men are looking beyond the stage and the man at the front has his hands up to his face as if he is cheering or interacting with an audience as part of the Pep Rally. To the left is another man who wears a light colored sweater, white undershirt, and dark pants. He has his right arm raised in a fist as if to cheer. The five men stand in a room which is reminiscent of a theater due to the curtains hanging from the ceiling. To the far right of the photograph there is a sliver of a sixth person, but there is not enough photographed to give an accurate description.
It is currently unknown the identity of the men, excepting Reagan, or where they are at in the photograph.
