Object Description

Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood. 

The black and white photograph shows Ronald Reagan standing in the TKE house with five other young men who stand in front of a window and a mantle place which holds several trophies. Ronald Reagan stands at the center of the photo looking at an unknown book. He is wearing a light colored button up shirt, and dark pants. 

The young man to the left of the photo is wearing a dark sweater, white button-up undershirt, and dark tie. He stands staring at and touching the book in Reagan's hands. 

The second young man to the left of the photo is wearing a camera around his neck and looks towards Reagan. 

All three young men to the right of the photo are wearing light colored shirts and various shades of pants. All three are either looking at the book in Reagan's hands or at Reagan.
