Object Description

Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood. 

This posed photograph shows Ronald Reagan surrounded by four young men wearing suits and ties in front of a brick building with a white storm door. Reagan sits at center front on the porch steps with his arms resting upon his legs and his clasped. There are two men sitting next to Reagan and two men sitting behind Reagan. On the left side of the photograph are two more men standing and are clearly not meant to be in the photograph despite looking at the camera at the moment of capture. In the hand of the man in the white shirt is a cigarette. On the right side, is part of a men's arm and his shadow. 

In the bottom right hand corner, there is damage to the photograph resulting in part of it being removed and the white paper underneath being exposed. It is unknown what caused the damage,
