Object Description

Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood.

The black and white photograph shows Ronald Reagan surrounded by a group of young men at an unknown location. Reagan stands at the center wearing a light colored suit and dark striped tie. In his hands he is holding an unknown object; at present, a pipe is the best guess for what this object is based on the use of both of Reagan's hands to hold and light to pipe and from the way he is curving his hands.

There are at least 14 men surrounding Ronald Reagan. Each wore formal attire including suit jackets and ties and most have their gaze directed towards Ronald Reagan. The identity of the men are unknown.
