Object Description
Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood.
The photograph shows Ronald Reagan on the right wearing a light colored suit with a white handkerchief, light shirt, and dark tie. His right hand is outstretched towards a series of framed photographs hanging on the wall. He uses his glasses to point towards the center photograph of a man wearing a light colored suit. At the left of the photograph is another man wearing a white long sleeved shirt and dark pants. His gaze looks towards the photograph Reagan is pointing to.
Along the wall are at least 8 framed photographs, but it is unknown who the photographs are taken of. It can be assumed that since Reagan was at the TKE house that the men in the photographs are members of the organization.
