Object Description
Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood.
This black and white photograph shows Ronald Reagan addressing the Eureka College football team at their practice. There are several men, at least 27 photographed, who are knelling or standing looking at Reagan. The men are wearing practice football attire including light colored shirts, beige football pants, and dark shoes and socks. The field they are standing in is lined with a row of trees. There is a corresponding photograph which shows Reagan talking to the coach found under Ronald Reagan visiting Eureka College 1941 (Five) (Catalog #1941.015).
The identities of the men are not known at this time.
