Object Description
Photograph of Ronald Reagan taken in 1941 during his visit to Eureka, Illinois. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was also active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood.
The black and white photograph shows Reagan standing on the grounds of Eureka College Campus along with several bystanders who he is engaged in conversation with. Reagan stands in the center of the photograph talking with the gentleman around him, specifically to the man on the left side of the photograph at the front.
Reagan wears a light colored suit jacket, a dark sweater, a white button up shirt, a dark tie, and a white pocket handkerchief. The men immediately around him are also dressed in various colors and forms of suits. In the background is an older gentleman who stands beside a woman - a full description of these two members of the group proves difficult due to the capture cutting off most of their personage.
The identity of those with Reagan are unknown.
