Photograph of the 1957 Eureka College graduation ceremony during Ronald Reagan's visit to Eureka College at which he attended the commencement for the graduates. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood. As Eureka College's most famous celebrity, Reagan's arrival to campus was always celebrated by staff, faculty, students, Eureka College Alums, and the citizens of Eureka.
This black and white photograph shows attendees of the Eureka College graduation at a party held to celebrate the event. This candid photograph shows several attendees standing engaged in conversation with one another. Captured within the photograph are three women who are wearing dresses with two of them wearing jackets. The two women closest to the camera wear glasses. There are two men furthest away from the camera; one is covered up by one of the women and therefore accurate description is not possible, but the second gentleman wears a dark suit and tie, a white undershirt, and glasses.
The identity of those photographed are unknown.
There is a white "4" written in the bottom right hand corner of the photograph. The purpose of this is unknown.
