Photograph of the 1957 Eureka College graduation ceremony during Ronald Reagan's visit to Eureka College at which he attended the commencement for the graduates. Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College between 1928 and 1932. He was a member of the TKE's Iota Chapter during his time in Eureka and served as its President in 1928. Reagan was active in school including theater and football. At the time of the photograph, Ronald Reagan was working as an actor in Hollywood. As Eureka College's most famous celebrity, Reagan's arrival to campus was always celebrated by staff, faculty, students, Eureka College Alums, and the citizens of Eureka.
This black and white photograph shows Nancy and Ronald Reagan posing with a group of attendees to a party thrown in celebration of the 1957 graduation commencement. The Reagans stand to the right of the photograph in the threshold of a doorway. Nancy and Ronald wear white, with Nancy's dress having black dots and a pearl collar and Ronald having a black tie. Nancy is looking at a gentleman who stands next to her and it appears they are engaged in conversation. Ronald stands behind her and smiles at the camera. There are six women included in the photograph who wears fancy dresses and four men who wear suits and ties.
The identity of those photographed, except for Nancy and Ronald Reagan, are unknown.
