Object Description

This black and white photograph shows Ronald Reagan dressed in graduation regalia including academia gown, hood, stole, and mortarboard hat. He walks with a second man who also is dressed in graduation regalia of a darker color. Along side the men are photographers and onlookers. 

This trip to Eureka, Illinois was to celebrate the opening of the Melick Library at Eureka College, Ronald Reagan's alma mater. At the time of the photograph, Reagan was governor of California.
